The Dodge Poetry Festival is the largest poetry event in the United States, bringing together celebrated poets and thousands of attendees for live readings, performances, and conversations. When the Dodge Poetry Festival moved from rural Waterloo to vibrant Newark, it needed a fresh look to match the energy of its new home — and a design system flexible enough for posters, mailers, signage, merchandise, ads, and future festivals. 501c Design created a bold, colorful brand built on consistent typography and playful yearly motifs — from megaphones to skylines to maps to constellations. Each iteration feels new while staying recognizable. The result: modern, joyful designs that spotlight the poets, attract bigger crowds, and spread the Festival’s impact far beyond Newark.

Kerstin Vogdes Diehn is a phenomenal and creative designer who performs well under pressure and tight deadlines. We have been able to count on her for each Festival for her originality and cool and easy way of implementing these designs. Every Festival she continues to outdo herself!"
